Takbo.ph - Reinier Pacific Volunteer Aid Station for Condura Run 2010
Sunday, 07 February 2010

Admin note:  This is a guest post from reinier6666.blogspot.com.  Thanks to Sir Amado for pioneering the efforts of having a world-class aid station here in the country.

This is the third time that Reinier Pacific and Takbo.ph collaborates to provide an aid station in a long distance races in Metro Manila.  I still remember Sir Amado's first email for Takbo.ph and Reinier Pacific to join the Aid Station Contest in Botak 100KM last year.   I never thought it can be done at first since I don't think I can get enough volunteers to stay at the aid station.  But I have underestimated how strong the spirit of volunteerism is in the running community.  Their passion for running extends beyond joining fun runs and marathons.

Despite being undermanned in the recent Condura Run 2010 Aid Station, we are still overjoyed to serve the runners who passed by the aid station at Buendia today.  We hope that the bananas, the liniment spray and the marching band we provided, helped you conquer the Skyway.

miFirst Run with Adidas miCoach
Saturday, 06 February 2010

I took the Adidas miCoach for a test run.  After receiving it last week, I immediately downloaded a training program from the miCoach website.  I chose the De-Stress program.  It was just a set of 10 easy runs within the blue zone.  The blue zone is the easiest of the four zones.  Based on the default setting, I should be running at a HR of 127-145.

miCoach is ready.  I had my Ipod Nano ready.  Now it is time to test this toy on the road.  Here's how the first run went.

Condura Run 2010 Race Results and Unofficial Photos Now Available
Sunday, 07 February 2010

The Condura Run 2010 Race Results are now available.  Congratulations to those who finished the race espcially to those who conquered the Skyway in the 21K and 42K race event.  I know how tough the route is since I joined Quennie in her first 21K last year at the Skyway.  I was a bit jealous not being able to run the 42K when this was the event I was trying to prepare for.  But still, I was very much part of the race.

The race results are now available at the download section.  Click here.  Condura Run 2010 Partial Race Results.  This is just the partial list since only 10/21/42K results were published so far.  The results were taken from www.condurarun.com.  3K and 5K results will be out tomorrow.

UPDATE:  Condura Run Results for 3K/5K is now available.  Click the link below.

34th Milo Marathon 2010 List of Schedules
Saturday, 06 February 2010

The 34rd Milo Marathon has release its schedules for the elimination legs and the finals.  It looks like there are a lot of changes in the schedule like the start of the first leg and the list of provinces.  In the 2009 Milo Marathon, there were 27 elimination legs.  This year, there are only 17 elimination legs.  While, this is a significant reduction in the number of races, I'm sure Milo will compensate it with better races in each leg.

The first leg starts in Manila on July 4.  The National Finals will be on December 12.   And I heard the QCIM will also be in December.

Cresenciano Sabal and Christabel Marites won the men and women titles in the 33th Milo Marathon Finals last year.  Cresenciano Sabal won the title 3 times already while Christabel Marites won the finals 4 times.

Important: Missing Barcodes for Condura Run 2010 Race Bibs
Friday, 05 February 2010

Here is an announcement from the Condura Run organizers regarding the barcodes on the race bibs for 21K adn 42K runners.  Some race bibs that were released yesterday doesn't have the barcodes on them.  These bar codes will be used together with the timing system for the race.  But don't worry.  If you don't have the barcodes, you can still run the event and will still get your time accurately.  The Condura Run 2010 Race Results should still be ok once they are released.

This is already corrected by the organizers and expect that the race bibs that will be claimed today will have the barcodes already.

Once you get your race kits, check your race bibs.  If there is no bar code, read the instructions below.
