Quick Weekend Break in Bacolod

Quennie and I will be having a weekend break.  It’s my father’s 60th birthday and we’re off to Bacolod to have a family celebration.  It will be a back-to-back celebration too since my father won as one of the town councilors during the elections last May 10.  Maybe we can sqeeze in a family run on Sunday.  My father runs regulary as part of his exercise.  My sister who stays in Iloilo is running regularly too and keeps on getting my singlets whenever she stays in Manila.  So I’m bringing a pack of singlets to her when we meet.  Mama doesn’t run but she’s taking charge of the yummy post run food.

We’re planning to go back to Bacolod again during the Masskara Festival in October.  Who wants to join me to a 28KM Run from Bacolod to Mambukal Mountain Resort or a 42KM run from Bacolod to my hometown in Pontevedra?  Save the date. 😀

But here’s something to look forward to at Takbo.ph next week when Quennie and I get back.

First, the Takbo.ph FORUMS will be online next week.  Or even this week when I feel it’s ready.  To start, the old and new forums will co-exists.  We won’t disable the current one yet.  Shutdown of the old forums will be in a week or two until we go full swing on the new FORUMS.

Second, the new Takbo.ph Shirt with the Tag Cloud design will be available this June.  We will be accepting orders soon.  We have 400 shirts only for the first batch.  We’ll see if we need a second batch.

Lastly, we will run a short survey for Takbo.ph this June.  We need it to get some info and your thoughts about the website.

To those joining the Takbo.ph-aNR long run on Sunday, have a great time.  Too bad we will miss another group run.   Wrong timing.  🙁
