My Garmin FR405 is still working but…

My affair with my Garmin has been short lived before.  I am happy that my refurbished GF405 us stil working after one year.  That’s a good year compared to the other two Garmins I owned.  I hope this lasts for another year.

My first Garmin Forerunner 405 got busted after six months.  I had it returned and Garmin gave me a refurbished unit after paying some fees.  The refurbished one is what I am using right now.

My second Garmin was a Forerunner 310XT.  It was a gift from Quennie for my birthday.  Three months later, we were robbed and they took away the Garmin along with other running stuff I have.  It was a terrible incident and I was contented to run without any watch for several months until the refurbished unit arrived.

So one year with a Garmin FR405 is a blessing already.  I know of other users who have less than a month with their Garmin.  The Garmin FR305 seem to be more durable.

My Garmin still works fine but I am having problems with the power.  It seems that the battery drains so fast even if I am not using it.  I had them fully charged in my previous runs.  After the run, the battery would be at 90% or less.  That is good.  But the unit will be off by the afternoon even if I haven’t used it at all.

I wonder what’s wrong.  Probably it wasn’t fully charged yet so I am leaving it charged overnight for my run again tomorrow.

I wish this lasts for another year.  Despite the scars on its bezel, it still is my running best friend.

But then again, I can’t wait to try the new Garmin Forerunner 610 Touchscreen. This could be the sign.
