Product Review: Thriv Natural Performance Shirt
I featured the Thriv Natural Performance Shirt a few weeks ago. I wore it mostly as a shirt for mall or travel and the shirt is really comfortable to wear. Last Sunday, I took them out for a run in Tagaytay. It is better than most technical shirts.
Thriv Natural Performance Shirt is made of Organic Cotton, viscose from Bamboo and elastane (55% Organic Cotton/35% Viscose from Bamboo/10% Elastane).

By just holding them, you can feel its soft texture. It is also cool to touch. It feels more like a cotton shirt. This made me doubt about its moisture wicking and quick drying properties.
When you wear them, it really feels good. The material is very soft and very comfortable. It doesn’t shrink and it retains its soft texture even after several washing. Despite being black, they still feel cool in hot weather. Although, I haven’t worn them for a heat training so that might be a different story.
For running, I am giving it a check all its features that I mentioned in the feature article – Comfortable, Odor Resistant and Breathable.
It absorbs sweat better than other technical shirts. Maybe because it has cotton in it. I would notice that while the shirt is already wet, my skin is being kept dry. Thriv’s moisture wicking and quick drying properties does work.
The shirt doesn’t cling to the skin even when wet. This is a good sign that it will not cause chafing. For those who chafes often with running shirts, this will be a good option.
Like many tech shirts, Thriv is odor resistant. Thriv relies on the natural odor resistant property of the bamboo fabric.
