The Future is Here: The 2011 Nike MAG
If your are one of the 80s kid, then these shoes will be familiar to you. Nike has released 1,500 pairs of the 2011 Nike MAG. It’s the replica of the Nike MAG worn by Marty Mcfly, played by Michael J. Fox in the movie Back to the Future II. In the movie, Marty wore the shoes in 2015 and the shoe lights up and laces itself up. A true one-size-fits-all-custom-fit-shoe.
While the 2011 Nike MAG shoe looks very much similar to the movie, it doesn’t lace itself up. But the designers promise that this feature will be available in 2015. The 2015 Nike MAG will be something to look forward to.

The limited Nike MAG is only available in eBAY as an auction. And it is selling hot. Bids ranges from 3,000 USD to 10,000 USD per shoe. British rapper Tinie Tempah paid 37,500 USD at a live auction in Los Angeles. Proceeds of the auction will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for research on Parkinson’s Disease. The auction ends September 18.
