I noticed that there aren’t as many people that joined this year’s #KOTR2011 WELL YOU MISSED A LOT! Congrats @adidasph for best ever race!
The best organized run that I joined so far this year.. Kudos to both Adidas and Run Rio.. Can’t wait for next year’s version..
I really enjoyed this race. Thumbs up!
Of all the HM I’ve joined, this one has the best route thus far, that starts at BHS then moves to Kalayaan-Buendia. There were new routes inside BGC, then the Kalayaan Flyover experience (but not overdoing it by stretching too far into Taft). The usual McKinley Hill-Bayani road was omitted, which was just as well because despite its being a major runner challenge, its main drawback is all the fumes coming from all the stalled vehicles (not too mention irate motorists). The best part however was saved for the last stretch. After coming into the 19th km, it seemed like a long arduous last 2 km. Running the seemingly never ending 32nd st., turning right into 9th ave is such a pleasant surprise because the only thing you see in front of you are the big bold letters that say “FINISH LINE”! It was such a wonderful experience seeing everyone’s mood in my pace light up because of that and suddenly revved up to finish the last stretch with a bang. Everyone was practically sprinting it! Props to the route’s director/designer!!! 🙂
JC totally agree. I ran the 16.8 km and I was very happy that the original McKinley-Bayani route was changed to Buendia. I nearly got ran over in that route by an impatient jeepney driver.
Thor, this is my 1st KOTR and I was expecting the worst. I had to get a new bib and timing chip the day before the race so I thought it is disorganized. But came race day … surprise. It was the best large-sized race for 2011 for me.
Astig ukie at swabe lang yung takbuhan. Lufet nyo adidas and run rio!! more power god speed sa lahat ng mga takbolero!!!
Best race I’ve attended so far! Galing ng Adidas..from hydration to freebies to program and raffle! The best kayo! Sana ganyan ulet or more pa next year. Pero sana, mas maayos ang sizes ng singlet! xD
excellent! job well done guys! 🙂
Tagal naman ng results
After a messy KOTR two years ago (where pickup venue was at the SM Megamall Trade Hall), they learned their lessons well! Have been doing KOTR for several years now and I must say this is the best! But I won’t be surprised if it will even be better next year! Congratulations!!!
thank you manokanrunner for the pics links!

Thanks din for sharing the pics. I should join you for some pic taking next time. 😀
Still waiting for the official results…
To all who joined the KOTR 2011 and saying that “it is the best” “great job” “amazing event” “great run”…well very disappointing, look at the race result!
Baket po wala pa ang results nung 16.8KM?
Why are there no results yet for the 16,8 km ? And why no announcements about the overall 5 contries winners ?
bakit wala ang name ko…bib number 11121
Thank you Takbo.Ph for the results….hindi man nauuna, sigurado namang may link sa results! 🙂
tagal ng result ng 16.8
I can’t complain more since my registration is free hehe… comparing it with 2009 and 2010, this year was way more organized, thanks to Runrio! I had fun with my 16.8km run, ang downside lang talaga is the cost, sana babahan nila next year in case di na ako makakuha ng libre hehe
Til now, wala pa din results ng 16.8???
wala me sa 21k k. . .pang 11th place dpat. . .bat ganon. . .ang mahal ng reg tpos palpak sa resulta. . .
Hindi po ako sumali this year sa KOTR because of the remarkable increase in registration fee, hindi po kaya ng mga grassroots level, mga minimum wage earner. Sana po we must consider those potential runners from the provinces, nakakaawa walang mag-rerepresent sa SEA games or Asian games na masipag at matiyagang magpractice. Thanks
