Asics Gel Kayano 18 Sneak Peek

The Asics Gel  Kayano 18 will be release in stores this coming January 2012.  It features the newly designed Dynamic DuoMax and a new faster, lighter upper construction. The Asics GEL-Kayano 18 will continue its legacy as one of the best selling running shoes.

The Asics Kayano 18 offers 3 colors for men (White-Black-Hot Blue, Lighting-Flame-Black, Black-Onyx-White) and 3 colors for women (White-Island Blue – Black, Titanium-Hot Pink-Lighting, Black-Onxy-White).

The Asics GEL Kayano 18 will be sold for 150 USD.

Dynamic DuoMax – The new Asics Kayano will have a multi-rigid shape of the new Dynamic DuoMax technology.  It will have the same level of support and stability felt in previous models, but will be lighter.

Soft Top DuoMax – This will provide gender-specific densities for the outsoles. Men on average have larger body mass than women resulting to more compression at the midsole.  Thus, the GEL-Kayano 18 is constructed with a firmer 53 degree Solyte layer for men and a softer 48 degree Solyte for women.

Heel Clutching System – This system removes the traditional internal heel components and replaces it with an exoskeletal heel counter.  This provides a more comfortable heel fitting environment while decreasing the probability of friction or irritation.
