The 16K cat. was actually 17K? Didnt mind running an extra km. Congrats to the organizers! For a successful event! Nice finisher shirt & medal too. Keep up the good job.
Good race — very well organized, and really nice singlets. However, parts of the 3K route were confusing, and worse yet the route was sometimes very dark and rather dangerous.
I was disappointed that the timer for the 3K wasn’t working when I arrived at the finish. And — something rather strange happened — I was first directed towards the winner section. Then someone came up and asked me if I’m a foreigner (I am) and then told me that I didn’t need to enter the winner’s area afterall. Why was being a foreigner relevant??????
But aside from those issues (bad lighting, the clock not working, and the foreigner thing), this was one of the nicest races I’ve particpated in. Thanks, PSE.
It’s a very well-organized race and they really did listen to the errors of the past Bull Runs. I’m a first timer, but I read the comments of runners through threads posted on the net and I can picture the problems PSE had in 2011. They really took care of the hydration issue foremost and the security and safety as well.
Hydration was never a problem as stations were more than enough and were strategically placed. Two types of hydration fluids were available to runners (Pocari Sweat and water). I never felt thirsty during the run because of this. Sometimes I just used the water I got to cool my head.
A first for me to see at a race event were shower sprinklers at the race course. I specifically like this as I easily feel hot while at a race.
Security was not so much an issue as a lot of race marshals were around to make sure no vehicular traffic will impede the runners from the race course.
The race course was interesting as it included running the Fort Bonifacio-Buendia flyover which was quite a challenge to runners yet still enjoyable.
I’m happy with the black goody ecobag I received when I finished my 16K race. It contains my finisher shirt, 16K finisher’s medal, certificate, a can of Century Tuna Vienna Sausage, an apple and a banana. Some extras O also received from sponsors were a Citisec baller, 3 magazines from Multisport and BGC, and a white visor from PSE.
It was very busy at the staging area with people taking turns to have their pictures taken at the stage and an announcer informing the runners of raffle winners. There was also a bull ride challenge. It was very entertaining to see people having fun with it but I didn’t join as I already experienced it years ago and once was enough.
I’m very satisfied with this race and am sure to join the race again next year, this time for the 21k or, if possible and if I’ve trained enough, a full marathon.
Kudos PSE! Job well done!

Everything was OK except for the portalets, only 5 for men and 5 for women. Ang haba ng pila. Aside from this, it’s very well organized. Thanks for the banana, apple and century tuna. See you next year!!!!
after running 21k, people from the claim booth says “sorry sir. walang ng finisher shirt.” I replied, “ANO! PU—- — NYO! ANO ITO LOKOHAN!(kailangan ko pang magmura sa kanila para maghanap ng 21k shirt. eh meron naman pala.)
they answered,” kasi sir nag halo-halo na ang mga tshirt.” WHAT A REASON!
Totoo yan kasi I ran for 16K then I got a loot bag for 21K. Kaya I got the 21K medal.. :(..Di ko tuloy ma post ung medal ko kasi I did not run for 21K but 16K only. Kaninis.
Walang beneficiaries. I was hoping they’d be giving to Sendong victims. I ran “Run with ME” in Ateneo instead kasi may charity sila. Sana meron beneficiaries next year para sali ako.
First time in BGC funrun. The event was nice and organize lots of water station..However one thing i’ve noticed that there were certain area that roads were not close and a little bit confuse for our safety during that time if we have to struggle running or to stop for the vehicle to pass or slow down for the vehicles to be aware of the runners lane….
very well organized. hydration, security, signage and directions, marshalling, traffic control, lootbag distribution all ok.
one comment though is lighting on the buendia fly over. when i 1st passed though the area, it was pitch dark. couldn’t see much. got blinded by cars passing thru the other side. it was a blessing i did not trip over potholes or hit other runners. suggest that organizers of future runs put portable lighting for the safety of runners.
otherwise, it was a good run. will do the bullrun again next year!
Yeah, I was surprised the Buendia flyover wasn’t/isn’t lit. BGC is pretty dim too. I slowed down in the murk. Will avoid the shorter distances in the BGC area that start before 6am in future.
Apart from some absent-minded marshalling within the last 1 km of the 10k it was a very well organised race.
Boss sure? 800m for more than 30mins plus ang nabawas sa time mo?
Eh less than a kilometer lang naman yun.
where can we see the results of the 2012 bull run?
i have been searching high and low and still no results anywhere.. sheesh!
Same here been finding the results mukang wala pa.. 😐
i totally agree
It’s a great race! Despite of a little lack of lighting in some part of the route. But, overall Bullrun 2012 is a well organized race!!!
No complain on the hydration kahit walang cold sponge.
there were areas that were dark… and we saw (late) runners that were left on their own… no marshals in place na… kasi siguro dahil tapos na? Pero di ba dapat, there should be someone tailing the very last runner? Kawawa naman…
correct it was quite dark at naka shades pa ako(he he) that is why i have to slow down tapos iyon race bib kept falling off
Oh, btw, I have some pictures from the event… of some runners reaching the finish line. Where can I post/share them?
Results are already available in this site…congratulations to all finishers!

500 slots is open to the public. The rest is for the employees of PSE. Napansin mo yung mga naka blue shirts? Sila yung extra… =)
good race. well organized.
May flaws din naman – may mga nakawan pa nga daw na nangyari, may mga eksena sa pagkuha ng kit, may kulang or na skip na route sa 21K… in any case, it is not a perfect race – but one race that will be considered as the best.

it was a nice run but there are some doubts on the 16km distance and also the 21 km distance – also the race route was changed –
but overall i give it a thumbs up approval.
nice run but i suggest that u have to consider also the age category
