do i need to run 2 half mary and 1 32k??? or it is possible to run all 3 half mary???
Based on the texts on the medal, it looks like you need to run 2 21Ks and 1 32K to complete the set.

gagamitin ba yung old chip distributed last year? i initially thought na chip will be reused para maging faster and easier yung mga registration for the runs sponsored by runrio. when i registered for the timex run, parang wala namang use yung chip. nag-enter ulit ako ng lahat ng info.
Whew nagmahal ang fee i registered on 21k category,last sunday Ok yung singlet its not a new balance singlet its their own brand n Runrio then may kasama ng ULAH bib holder i must say good quality yung bib holder and attention sa mga tatakbo ng 21k s RU1 iba na ang route natin ang starting line natin is sa BGC and ang finish line natin is sa MOA na my mga shuttle na ipro2vide ang runrio from moa to bgc ihahatid yung mga 21k runners dun and another thing pwede narin kayo mag advance registration for the RU2 and RU3 🙂 see guys on march 4 RU1

how can i get my racekits. i wasn’t able to indicate my complete address in my registration form online.

kang choice kundi buuin ang trilogy kc di mo mabuo ang puzzle which you are planning to collect, which is un ang talagang panghatak nila.

anyways, sa mga kapwa ko runners if you want a fun run na makakatulong kayo sa iba please consider “takbo para sa karunungan”. makakatulong kayo sa mga mahihirap pero deserving na mga bata para makapag-aral.

Mahal nga kasi ikakasal na. But since this would be my first 21K prior to my KL Marathon at dahil gusto ko ng finisher’s medal and shirt (yung huli ay talagang maganda), I will bite the bullet but I will not complete this series. To hell kung di makumpleto.
I agree with my fellow runners on the matter of registration pricing nowadays. However I am also happy that takbo.ph diligently updates the race calendar for running events and i can pick out those that have noble causes that tug at my heart.(The expensive ones tug at my wallet too much) I actually appreciate it when the low price is highlighted in the LIST OF EVENTS section. I just hope hydration and marshalls are adequate for these lesser priced events. maybe rio has become too big for its own good, the sheer volume of participants makes it necessary to employ more personnel for the race to go smoothly without any glitches.

I sympathizes with other runner to the rising cost of registration..
I used to remember 2 years ago ( when I started joining fun runs), the registration fees at that time is around 350.00 t0 400.00 f0r 21k and above.. During that time the corporate backing were not extensive, media hype are low and consumer awareness are moderate..
With the advent of running commercialization and backing of big corporate companies the registration of running started to escalate… In Economics, its a law of supply and demand…
The target market now is more on elite and wealthy. Thats why we should be choosy on what race to join and advocacy what it may bring..

my spouse works for unilab….race kits are NOT FREE for them, but with P100 discount …saken normal price, non-Unilab kase ako… ang mahal nga…. dapat meron fund raising to something yan! e.g. construction dedicated of run routes (wishful)
Eric, I work in Unilab and that is not true. Unilab employees are not receiving free race kits for Run United 1. They are only given P100 off sa registration as employee benefit. Please don’t spread lies. And I confirm this. Binabayaran ng Unilab employees ang registration nila for Run United.
logic dictates dapat na kapag mas maraming sponsor ang isang fun run, dapat mas mura. kaya nga may corporate backing eh, to shoulder the bulk of the expenses. pero it’s kind of sad na mukhang pinagkakakitaan na rin ng mga “corporate sponsors” ang mga fun run. siguro if the majority of the runners will not join these expensive fun runs, may be, just may be, we will get the fun run we deserve for the money we spent on them.
i like running but with these prices, its just sad.
registered for this run although super disappointed ako sa riovanna. its good na mag upgrade sila into computer registration kaso ang palpak. their computerized registration system should aim for easier and faster registration. kaya nga ginawang computerized db? kaso kahit same runner and iregister mo for different races, you have to key in the same information sana man lang may option to register the same runner to a different race. i dont see why they shifted to computerized registration when in fact, parang mas mabilis pa paper based registration basta may sariling ballpen ka. imagine kung yung mga nakapwesto for terminal is registering for a group of 20. lalamukin ka sa kahihintay. yes, andami ko pong kagat ng lamok after maghintay. i have nothing against coach rio kaso sa dalawang beses kong pagpunta ng riovanna puro panget experience ko.
1. i registered for timex and condura – mali yung nalagay nilang bib. they gave me 5k when 10k nakalagay sa system nila. i noticed it at pinalitan nmn nila kaso hindi nagregister s system nila so unknown finisher kmi.
2. i registered for unilab – mali mali yung sizes ng shirt sa race kit. nagkapalit palit mga niregister ko. and they handed me racekits in plastic. as in nasa plastic ng singlet pati yung bib. wala man lang envelope para di malukot yung bib? when i asked for plastc kasi madami ako niregistet sbi sa counter wala daw silang plastic at pinakuha pa ako s claiming area ng loyalty shirt. i spent 800 fir a race and i registered a couple of runners tapos kahit paper bag or even plastic bag ako pa maghahanap.
grabe! so disappointing. not sure if runrio organizers are reading this blog kase wala silang sagot eh. nr lng. sana naman ayusin nyo registration nyo. kung di nyo kaya i accomodate wag nyo solohin. for the price of this run, siguro naman may right kmi na mag expect ng something sophisticated from you considering na wala naman beneficiary ang run na to. isa kyo sa pinakamalaki at pinakasikat na race organizers ngayon. sana i maintain nyo naman yung magandang service.
and pls lng. paki fix yung system nyo for hone and office num. dun tumatagal kasi daming nag eerror na users. you defaulted +63 pero hindi tinaanggap yung 2 lang nakasunod for metro manila landlines. kaylangan 02. sa tagal ng paghihintay ko napansin ko na halos lahat nag eerror dito.
in fairness ok yung bib holder. super natuwa ako pero nakakapag init talaga ng ulo ang riovanna!!!

Papano mag unite niya kung nagmahal ang mga registration fees! haaaay… kainis lang pinagsamantalahan nila ang pagkakataon na talagang hot ngayon ang running. hanap ako ng run na mura lang at makabuluhan.

I will be joining, albeit with a heavy heart– when I started running the fees were reasonable, about 400-500 and that’s already 21k. You could have fun because you got what you paid for, to run and enjoy without worrying about the budget.
Sadly though, Runrio has deemed it better to focus on the MONEY instead of the FUN in FUN RUN. As a protest to the ever increasing fee’s, this will be the last Runrio race I will join. Hahayst

We went to MOA coming from Cavite this afternoon for last minute registration….. Unfortunately, there’s no more 21K…. but me and my 3 other friends really like to join? Can u extend registrations?

If 4000 runners have registered for the 21K 1st leg, then at a minimum sigurado 4000 runners din sa 2nd and 3rd legs, unless the registration cost will shoot-up. Let us see…

when i first run in RUNUnited 250. palang. ang reg. fees. to sum up the prices. palagay mo 150Php ang singlet, 100php ang medal, 100php all other expenses 350php lng. In running 21k = 900php. So si RIO may tubo na 550PHP per runner. pag may 1000 runners registered= 550,000 PHP na tubo for 21k category alone. how about other categories. GOOD BUSINESS. Yayaman ka nga to the expense of runners.

hindi lang po yun ang expense pag nagorganize ng run. palagay ko may bayad pati ang pagpapasara ng kalye. FYI, ang rent sa parking lot ng MOA kung nasan ang activity area is 300K per day… last year na presyo pa yan ewan kung nagtaas na. friday pa lang nakareserve na yun para setup ang tents. so 3days x 300k = 900k. activity center pa lang yun. dagdag mo pa yung singlet, medal, finisher’s shirt, drinks, and other freebies.
isa pa, business nila yun. people are willing to pay basta maganda quality ng event na pupuntahan nila. parang kunwari sa kasal, choice mo kung kaw mismo mag organize ng kasal mo OR humanap ka ng wedding planner (ofcourse at a cost) para wala ka nang isipin masyado at para malinis yung event. if you really want a nice event, you pay; if you want it nicer, pay more.
in my case, i choose to run pag runrio event kasi masaya kaya willing to pay ako. hindi ko kaya ipasara ang 1 or 2 lanes ng buong buendia at mga flyover para lang makatakbo ako from BGC to MOA.
BTW, runner lang din po ako. di ako nagt-trabaho sa runrio. ayoko lang kasi isipin na lugi ako sa pagbayad ko ng 900. i still think it’s worth it.
