Registration for the Unilab Run United 2 2012 is now open. The 2012 Unilab Run United 2 will be held this June 17, 2012. This is the continuation of the famous series of runs catered by Unilab Active Health.

i’m no longer going to run in the Run United series…kakatrauma ang RU1 2012. it was my first time to run 21k and was so excited to get that finisher’s shirt, kaya lang nagkaubusan, some kind of security breach daw or something. ipapadala na lang daw sa mga di nakakuha ung shirt…mag 1 month na at inabot na ng holy week, di ko pa rin nakukuha ung sakin, two of my friends got theirs 2 weeks ago pa. i was trying to contact runrio pero di sila sumasagot kahit sa text and even when i try calling di rin sinasagot. i’m so disappointed.parang wala silang pakialam and i feel like they don’t care coz i’m just one participant and won’t be that big of a loss to them.

Marami na talaga sablay at sumasablay. Mahal na nga registration fee. UNILAB RUN RIO 21k Reg fees- 900php. Earth Run 21k Reg Fees – 350 php. ang laki ng difference. Di Ba ?
tama po.. sobrang mahal na.. i started not to run sa runrio events this year. dun na lang po ako tumatakbo sa mga charity run. mura na im sure may kapupuntahan.di pa ganito kaginto kamahal. for sure im burning the same calories…
run1 3k lang ako wala 2loy ako medal, ngaun run2 mag 21k uli ako.
yes dan sumasablay, 1 example was that since runrio organized milo marathon series naging Php500 na yung reg ng 10k hanggang 42k na dati naman ay Php50

yep sumablay sila last RU1 pro nobody’s perfect naman diba at hindi nila intention ung nangyari and the good thing is they know yung naging pagkakamali nila and their trying to cope with their mistakes.hindi naman nila binalewala yung nangyari.

Anyone have any idea when and where and Race Expo? Medyo hassle if I have to go there just to get the race kit if i register online.

that’s their policy now nga e, bat kaya ganun? wag lang talaga matatapat on a weekdays ang Expo magiging hassle yun para sa lahat dahil may work/pasok tayo nun.

runrio personnel in tobys @ sm north the block,required us to surrender our old timing card,they claimed no timing chip, no personalized IPICO is that so? but on the contrary the add i read personalized IPICO Timing card include in the race kit that to be claimed during the expo for 21K only which is which madam and sir.

Definitely doing the 21k again. I had a great experience with RU1 21k – portalets, cold water and bananas – and my time was 2:13++. And it was my 1st.
Here’s a thought: I wonder if the whiners are the ones who are unprepared to do the 21k ie back of the pack and 3++ hours to finish. I leveled up from 10k to 20k in less than a month so no surprise it took me 3 hours to finish. And I had alot of bad things to say: warm water, no more bananas, spotty cordoning of regular traffic etal.
Here’s a suggestion: shorter cut-off times.

I registered sa store yesterday and so far I only got the singlet. The rest will be given during the race expo and according to their site the following is the complete race pack: singlet, bib w/timing chip, racing belt bag, and riovanna 10% discount stub.
I thought only the on-line registrants will get the race kit during the Race Expo.

Walang information about the in-store registration dito sa takbo.ph but sa riovanna.com, it said na in-store registration will get the singlet only..and the rest is during race expo. So basically, everyone needs to go to the race expo :).

If you are a newbie you should run for RU2. Runrio organizers is one (if not the first) of the first running organizers in the country. And it helps na Coach Rio is a runner too so he knows what the runners need. Mura nga sa Petron and malaking company sila but idk how organized this will be…example is yung NatGeo run. Sobrang palpak in all aspects so may chance na di magaling ang nakuhang organizers ng Petron.
But I’m not saying RU2 is perfect…last Ru1 may mga palpak din sila like the finisher’s shirt na di naibigay sa lahat but overall…it was a well organized run just like any runrio event.
So yung lang… 😀
eeerrrr. so RU2 nako? Is it the more newbie friendly run event? I’m looking for an event na mas marami ding newbies, na hindi puro veterans yung tumatakbo para makarelate ako. I joined AMCHAM run for MAY and still deciding for JUNE. What I look for now are freebies a run can give because basically I don’t have any ideas about ORGANIZERS like Runrio or anything.. But of course I’d like to be in a run where everything seems to be going perfect. What about having many freebies if the whole event is a crap. So got your 1 vote for RU2 and another 1 for petron. (currently in survey mode)

ang dami naman gastos sa run na to. reg fee, gas and toll papuntang reg site, gas and toll and parking fee sa expo and same thing on race day. hassle naman pagkuha ng race kit! nagdadalawang isip tuloy.
For 21k route, me sports drinks ba sa mga hydration stops? Or pure water and banana lang? Need to know kung need ko mag-dala hydration packs ko.

based on past runrio experiences, 1 beses lang cla sumablay sa hydration kc may mga pasaway na tauhan na naghorde ng powerade, pero in general, pag runrio event, d na ko nagdadala ng hydration
I went to Riovana Katipunan this afternoon to register but was turned off by the info that I can only get the singlet EXCEPT THE BIB AND THE BELTBAG which will distributed only on June 13 at the Riovana Store in BGC. DUHHHHHH?!! GAS?! TRAFFIC?! CROWD?! ADDED EXPENSE?! SUMMER HEAT?! PAGOD?!!!! BAKIT HINDI PWEDE SA KATIPUNAN? Not everyone finds going to Makati ON A WEEKDAY a superb idea! I am not complaining about the registration fee coz but to go through this kind of aggravation???? Hayaan ko na lang kulang ang medal ko!
So in short di mo binasa yung instructions on this site and on runrio site about the claiming of the complete race kits bago ka pumunta sa Katipunan :D.
i expressed my disappointment during the RU1 last March on their page in FB also sa page ng Unilab, i guess they didn’t like it kasi burado na and di na rin ako pwede magcomment or send them any messages…ganon pala, di ka pwede magsabi ng feelings mo, natatakot ba sila dahil baka wala ng tumakbo? c’mon, kung inayos lang nila ung nangyari sa mga 21k runners last time eh di sana everybody happy…by the way after more than 2 months, ngayon ko lang nakuha ung finisher’s kit ko, i think i’m entitled to give them my honest opinion and feelings…
sa mga nagdadalawang isip na tumakbo dito, marami pang mga runs jan, i personally won’t be joining RU1 dahil sa dami ng hassle na naexperience ko sa kanila (sayang dahil maganda pa naman) may Petron Lakbay Alalay Fun Run on the same day as RU2…you guys can check it out…RU is not the only run. 🙂
hopefully, with his other organized races hindi na sana same scenario ang pagclaim ng race kit. hassle kasi. not all can afford the additional expenses, so decided not to join na lang.
no need naman siguro to have an expo and kailangan talaga sa BGC pa na malapit lang sa store nya.

oo nga bakit kailangan pang umatend ng expo just to claim the whole kit? mandatory ba? Holiday ba yung araw na yun? may work pa kami kayo ba wala? sheeez!… sometimes intindihin niyo naman kaming mga tumatakbo, instead na nag pa practice kami lalo lang kaming naabala at nagagastusan. last niyo na yan!
sa tingin ko kasi dyan the larger the number of runners who will attend the expo just to get the rest of the kit, the higher is the probability na pupunta sila sa store nya. second na lang yung other agenda ng expo.
solid runrio events, kaya lang nadisappoint lang ako sa scenario for the claiming of kits. next time na lang.
June 12 na start ng Expo for claiming of race kits…open na din for all categories.
And may cut-off time na …sort of. Starting 8:30…a vehicle will sweep runners who are still on the road.

ok sana ung run kahit medyo mahal….problem lang sa mga site need pa ipad gamitin sa pagregister ok sana pag mabilis 30mins waiting sa line….tapos release ung singlet pero ung race bib need pa puntahan sa fort para makuha….for people na maluwag siguro ung time…ok pero sa may mga work and school medyo hassle lang…knowing na runrio ang organizer..
