Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Pro – A Runner’s Review

Yurbuds Ironman series earphones are designed to work in even the most extreme conditions and activities.  They are guaranteed not to fall off with its Twist Lock technology.  It uses extra soft medical-grade silicone, which provides a snug fit and comfort for extended listening periods.  It provides solid sound quality and it is also sweat-proof and water-resistant.

I have been using the Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Pro for about three weeks and here’s my review of the product.

It does’t fall off

This is the main feature of Yurbuds. With its Twist Lock technology, it really doesn’t fall off. After more than 2 hours and 40 mins of running, not once did the earphones fall off. I don’t even have to adjust it. It stays there and stays on its place.

It won’t even fall off no matter how much I would shake my head. I tried it and I only got a headache after 30 seconds of vigorous shaking.

Quennie however finds them ticklish. She giggles when she inserts the buds to her ears.

Convenient Touch Controls

The Inspire Pro comes with a Dry Mic 3-button control. It works with Apple products like the iPod or iPhones. Volume controls and play buttons are very accessible. No need to hold your iPods while running. This allows you to focus more on your runs.

Soft and comfortable

The buds looks big for my ears but I think it helps in keeping them in place. They are comfortable and designed not to hurt your ears after long hours of use.

Some designs from other brands do hurt after wearing them up to two hours.  Yurbuds did not really eliminate pain after my long run, it was tolerable. I also discovered that by adjusting the position after the Twist-Lock, I can achieve a better pain free fit.

Great Sound Quality

The sound quality is just as good as those leading brands in headphones. It is deep in low frequencies and just as crisp in higher frequencies. Since they are in-ear types, it covers a good range of sound for you to enjoy while running.

Big Buds

The oversized earbuds looks intimidating.  I didn’t even think they can fit in my ears.  But they did and fits quite right.  However, the big earbuds might be a problem for those with smaller ears like the ladies or kids.  Sizes are available and are sold separately.

Summary

If you love to listen to music while running, Yurbuds will be a great companion. It is guaranteed not to fall off so you get run without distractions. They are comfortable to use even for long periods of time.

The 3-button control of the Inspire Pro is my favorite feature. I could just keep my iPod discretely in my pocket and simply use the controls to adjust the volume and move thru my playlist.
