    Maybe it’s just me but the distance for this particular run seems shorter than 10 miles. My left and right calves were already hurting before the race even started due to the drills I did going up the flight of stairs in our building ( 13 floors ) for two hours straight without any rest the previous day. I started very late because the queue at the portalets was very long. The MC was already shouting out “LAST CALL FOR ALL 16K RUNNERS”. I had to weave my way through the 3K and 5K runners who were already taking their positions at the starting line before I could start my fun. Had to weave through most of the 16K runners who started way ahead of me, everyone knows how time consuming that is. The condition of some stretch of the road was quite undesirable due to the repairs being made along Roxas Boulevard. And yet I broke my PR for 16K by a very large margin. And I am just basing my time on the GUN TIME. The time which is reflected on the clock when I crossed the finish line. What more if I based my run via my chip time. Fellow runner maybe you guys could share your thoughts regarding the distance of the run. Hydration for the event was adequate. I got my bottle of Yakult and my finishers shirt. My only comment on the shirt is that it does not say “23RD YAKULT 10 MILER FINISHER”. Having the word “FINISHER” on the shirt would have been nice. I guess most of the runners got a shirt. Even the 3K and 5K runners got theirs which was really nice. Until next year everyone. By the way I would like to invite everyone to join the up and coming HYUNDAI FUN RUN which will be held on the 29th of this month ( APRIL 29, 2012 ). Registration is for free. YES GUYS YOU READ IT RIGHT IT IS FOR FREE. Here is the official website of the run http://www.hyundairunforacause.com/. Kindly tell your friends, relatives, office-mates, bosses and anyone you can get a hold on. I promise you guys that it will be a great event. And best of all it’s free. Hope to see you guys at the GRANDSTAND. The event was supposed to be held at BGC but from what I heard BGC official refused the event due to the expected number of participants ahahahahahahahaha. That’s really hilarious. And that’s how big this event will be.

    like: adequate hydration and distance markers, visible race marshals and officials
    unlike: road condition on some parts and the pollution/smog around baclaran, few portalets and none along the race route for 16km runners
    wish for earlier gun start next year and same with @averagerunner, for the finisher shirts to have like, “16km Finisher” as distinction from those at 3k or 5k..

    Yakult, add 21km race distance na next year!! thanks!

    no frills, yet very organized, finisher shirt for all,
    affordable

    I ran the 16k category. Why is my official time different from the digital clock on the finish line? According to the official result, i crossed the finish line at 1:36:30 while according to the digital clock on the finish line, I finished the race at 1:29 minutes only. I know that chip time is the official time, but the disparity in time is so wide… parang may mali…
