C5 Half Marathon 2012 3/5/10/15/21K (Ortigas)

SA SOBRANG MAHAL NG REG. FEE SANA HINDI LANGAWIN ANG RACE NA ITO.

Bakit walang naka post na Organizer? Si RIO lng nagpa uso ng Mahal na registration. Walang cause ang RUN. Naku very business minded ang organizer. Ok. gud luck sa race nyo.

Finishline ang organizer 🙂 Read some bad reviews about them pero just for the sake of trying out the route, i’m joining this one.

I posted a question in the organizer’s site asking about the design of the medal. They emailed me na iba daw ang design for the 15k finishers pero as of now wala pa narelease.

this is a kind of business ,they use running to generate money,…..wow don’t use this sport, suppose to be this is the cheapest sport,i’ll advised everyone you can still do this sport by your own group without money involved.

hi, ask ko lang po bakit may additional 100php para sa mga magreregister ng May?…eh kung ouitside manila, paano pipick-upin ang race kit?….tsaka may sample po ba ng mga size sa registration site? para hindi naman masayang ang pagrereg…im willing to join…this is my May 2012 medal kung saka sakali…tnx

Hi, im currently in cebu and ill be in manila on may 21-31. where can i register?

My family registered last Saturday, me and my two kids for 21k and my wife for 15k and we are all excited for this event.

Off-topic but still on running, is it possible for Finishline, Runrio, Adevents Manila and other organizers to unite and organize races in support for our Scarborough Shoal (for our government to raise additional funds to buy defense equipment). I firmly believe that this is a very important and relevant cause for runners to show their strong support. Personally, my family will definitely join this race even if the registration fee is much higher.

parang na shortchange ang 15K sa medal. we were expecting its the same with the 21K kahit smaller lang ng konti. for a 100 peso difference sa fee. parang key chain lang and name pa ng organizer and not the event itself ang naka-engrave. so disappointed!

mali yung binigay na bib number sa kin…binalik ko tuloy sa kanya..ang tanong kailan ko kaya makukuha yun sa kin…dapat kasi bigay na kaagad yung singlet at race bib upon registation…hirap talaga kapag ganito…dapat refund yung pera kapag di dumating sa oras yung race kit!!!!

I have not received yet my race kit. I paid it last April 25th , 2012 with form number 0969. My address is at Paranaque City. I’m so disappointed!!!

The race is tomorrow and my wife and I still don’t have our racekits. No advise or notification from the organizer. Paano na yan if we don’t get to run tomorrow? What is the process then?

Kailangan na lang daw i-claim ang racekit sa F. Ortigas Jr. Road, Ortigas Center Pasig from 11AM to 5PM.

let us get down to details finishline may point to the courier as the one at fault and likewise the courier will point to finishline as the one at fault. let’s unbundle the problem and demand the whole timeline from finishline. ano ba ang nanyari starting from day 0 to disaster day ng May 26, i went to coffee bean nakakaawa ang mag tao na nag-claim ng kits, all those trouble and additional gas transpo expenses, mainit na panahon, mainit pa ulo ng mga tao. on a positive note, for those of us still contemplating to run bukas – enjoy na lang natin ang race, tutal parepareho tayong nainis at naabala – this we have in common. let’s try to forget about this experience and forget this organizer’s future events.

i still did not receive my race kit, can i claim it tom prior the run? pls improve ur service organizers

It is 8:00 pm the night before the C5 run and still no race kit!!!!!

Bumawi nga ang finishline. I think all finishers got a medal. Still would have been better if there were no hassle.

let us wait for Finishline to issue its official statement and explanation, they owe it not only to us but the running community who still supported what should be called “the Half C5 Marathon”. Calling this event a disaster is even an understatement. for most of us, expressing what we feel is unprintable, personally not even the singlet, finisher’s shirt, medal can compensate for the damage already done. Paging Finishline … is there anyone home? magparamdam naman kayong lahat, so that we will know you are all still breathing!!! we have spent good money and our precious time on you. Please be a true gentleman and explain. ang mahirap dito kami pa ang nakikiusap sa inyo. *&^#@#%#^#*+*

i am now “personally” boycotting Finishline!! just survived the worst run event i have ever attended! 1. some people’s race kits didn’t get delivered at all and the organizers couldn’t find their kits. they had to make new bibs & chips on the spot, 2. the event started 15 minutes late because of that, 3. they removed the Katipunan part of the route so the new route was just made into 2 loops nalang (which we hate) 4. we couldn’t drink from some water stations because they ran out of cups!!, 5. their gatorade was powdered and the staff just mixed it there when the event was on-going already! and super konti lang the gatorade! 6. saw policemen taking bananas from the water station that’s supposed to be for the runners, 7. there were no water stations AT ALL at the several long, HOT uphills, 8. there were NO portalets on the route, 9. there was no cold water/drinks after the finish line, 10. there was a long-ass line to get the finisher’s shirt and they only appointed 3 staff members to FIND each runner’s shirt! the shirts were numbered with the runner’s number. whose bright idea was that??? 11. paid 1,100 for all that inefficiency!!
