Crazy Video of Coach Rio vs Plane
I first met Coach Rio in 2008. There were few fun runs happening in a week back then and it is easy to spot blogger friends and personalities. Like many newbie runners, I just had to have my photo taken with Coach Rio.
With Coach Rio at MH Miracle Run last August 17, 2008.
I have seen Coach Rio do crazy things. One thing that still sticks in my memory is when he dressed up as a cupid in one of the costume fun runs at BGC. He was doing a bad job as a cupid, though. Instead of making the girls fall in love with the boys, he is making the girls fall in love with cupid instead.

But nothing prepared me when I first saw this video of Coach Rio running head-to-head with a Cessna airplane. Who would have thought that was even possible? The thought of it just blew my mind and made me want to update my bucket list.
If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a 2-minute video to capture the challenge. You can also see the view here http://bit.ly/KAbEuh.
Now you have seen Coach Rio accepting the challenge of running against an airplane. But the end of the video is another challenge. This time, the challenge is on you. Kaya mo ba si Coach?
I wonder what the challenge will be. What is #BeatCoachRio all about? If the challenge doesn’t involve running, I might have a chance of winning this challenge. I can probably win against Coach Like in eating that Cessna airplane.
But it says Run and Beat Rio on June 5, 2012 at the Bonifacio Global City Back of Terra 28th Park. What can this challenge be? Can you guess what will happen on June 5?
Better join the event to find out what #BeatCoachRio will be.
More details to follow this week.
I started running last 21 Dec 2011, actually it was merely a compliance, my compliance to my senior to registered back then. On the DDay of the event,my senior was not able to attend due to conference, so i went at the cite alone, too bad for me i forgot 2 brought my BIB # (5K), so i reg again on-site for 10K, but as i was changing my singlet, i didn’t notice, the 10K wave category had started already… so i start running late that day, actually were 5 late comers, maybe it’s just LUCK for me when i got placed as top 9 out 10, so i received a medal from 35th milo marathon, but in the official result my name wasn’t there due to late reg, so from then on i really fine time to join fun run events, am actually loving it, i have many friends from other fields of work, you see, though people like me who’s very tired of routinary workloads could still enjoy life with great benefits in health aspects! plus COACH RIO really inspires us! he’s our IDOL! 1 thing we really appreciate is, despite all the fame COACH RIO have right now, he always keep his feet on the ground, a very down-to-earth man. So thank you COACH RIO for inspiring thousands of people. WE ARE INDEED PROUD OF U SIR!
