Thanks for a very well-organized run! Plenty of hydration, lots of distance markers, a clear route, really nice shirt, and great raffle prizes…great job!
I had one small glitch — I am a foreigner, and when my family and I showed up at the gate, we had to wait for 20 minutes to be admitted. It seems the guards weren’t expecting any foreigners, though my family and I had registered very early — almost a month ago! (my son had bid number 1 for the 3K) I hope next year they will review the registrations ahead of time to facilitate entrace for foreigners. Because of the delay, I wasn’t able to start at the gunstart for the 10K. Thanks, though, to the guys who helped work out the problem at the last minute and let us have access to the base.
Thanks again for a great run.
I enjoyed this run very much. There are a lot navy personnel who assisted me going to the venue. The team category was also fun to watch with their different costumes. The shirtless men won the best in costume…go figure :).
The route is pretty straight but with a bit of incline in some parts. There was a dedicated lane for the runners so I feel more safe running on the road. Hydration is plenty and markers every km for all categories.
After the race, there were free sandwiches and “lugaw” for the runners. Some chants by the team runners to keep the people entertain.
One of the more enjoyable runs I’ve join. Good job :).
It was fun, running with the military personels both active and reserve, its amazing that it is well organized lots of markers are in placed, many event personels in the streets, and i can’t believe it that i have entered there camp..so cool..lots of prizes are being given away, free sandwiches and more sponsors…can’t wait for the next life savers run…thank you and more power to the Philippine Navy…Mabuhay.
I just like to add that our Navy runners are like horses…grabe ang pace nila. :p …normally I’m at the top 40% of my category…ang bibilis..maya maya nakaturn na silang lahat.
I hope some pictures would be available soon.
