7-Eleven Run 800 will be held on October 14, 2012 at the Aseana City in Paranaque. Runners joining the 10k,15k or 21k half marathon will enjoy this new closed-circuit race course set along the coastal road – CAVITEX. Those joining in the 3k and 5k categories can look forward to an organized race course along Macapagal Ave.
To complete registration, runners can pay reg fees at the 7-Eleven a nearest them. Take note of the 7-Connect number and pay at any 7-Eleven store within 24 hours. Race Kits can be claimed on the date indicated on the receipt, and from the same store where payment has been made.

dko alam pre, nagulat na lang din ako na iba ung name sa resibo, eh wala naman daw alam ung cashier sa 711 sa proseso, sila lang tiga tanggap ng bayad. sabay siguro kame nagreregister online nun tpos sakin napunta ung reference number nya na binayaran ko naman. Brylle Miller Pelayo kung sino ka man wag mung kukunin ung race kit ko, anyway sabe naman ng organizer aayusin nila to, sana maayos before yung claiming ng race kit! 😀

pero minsan kasi sa mga intersection, di ba nagho-hold muna ang mga cars pero kung wala pang runners na dadaan lalo na pag malayo distance na agwat ung runners gino-GO na nila habang malayo pa ung iba.. pero panu kung nagkamali ung c traffic enforcer o si runner na pagpasok kasi nakatoon lang isip sa running at dun sa music na pinapakingggan at na khit BEEP na ng BEEP etong mga sasakyan dun bka magkaaksidente..
Just a safety precaution lng siguro kaya pinagbawal..
Just my own perception kung bakit ipinagbabawal.. just sharing..

@toni its not a common rule sa events but its a safety suggestion kasi it may hinder your sense of hearing and loose your focus sa run lalo na kung city runs. safety for everyone na din.

Pre, nag 21K na ako, sayang 100 pesos lang diff. ng registration ng 16K. Kita kits before the run na lang, para may picture-picture…. He he he . =)

“may not” may mean optional…pwedeng hindi gumamit…
if they use the word “must not” ….which may mean “hindi pwede gumamit” then they may be prohibiting the use of mp3 player and other gadgets.
again, just my opinion….
i will be bringing with me my mp4…the race distance is too long…
well “may not” is a negative but permissive term… so that would mean, one “may” bring those not allowed to be used but at ur own risk.. hehe..just sayin…
@ reydor, i think kung allowed gumamit ng music gadgets, then there’s no point of including rule 2.10 so having it here in the rules, i am assuming that they are discouraging runners to use music gadgets and just listen to car engines, screaming of runners, blowing horns, music bands, police whistles…etc

Unfortunately, this is not the case, the 7-11 store where I registered do not have any idea about this. NO CLAIMING DATE ON THE RECEIPT…..store keeper do not know also when will the race kit be available……so this will only mean that we will be visiting 711 regularly to get update on this!!!!
pre – August 13 ang earlieast release ng racekit. wala talaga ung claiming date sa pinakababa ng resibo? anyways try mo on august 13 pmunta dun dalhin mo resibo and one valid id with picture para sure na makuha mo ung racekit if it’s already available.
yes, walang date sa resibo. The only date that I can see eh ung date na nagbayad ako. dalawa kaming sabay na nagresigter and both do not have dates for claiming. Ni hindi nga alam ng tao sa 711 kung ano sinasabi ko. So again, the info here is not accurate and misleading. And so starting aug 13, magpapabalik balik ako sa 711 until merung dumating na race kit? sana hindi abutin ng race day mismo ang claiming

I ran 10K every Mo/Tu/Th/Fr/Sa along the stretch of Dona Soledad to SM Bicutan then back 😉 If anyone want’s to join me train… you can catch me running from 9pm. From 1618 to SM Bicutan, it’s around 3.3K then going back from SM Bicutan to Dona Soledad Ext (dulo, Angels Burger) is around 4.2K. Then from Dona Soledad Ext (dulo) back to 1618 is around 2.5K. Total 10K+.

Ask ko lang nagkamli ako ng pindot na sana advance ng 10k eh napindot ko ang competitive. pwede ko ba papalitan to after ko magbayad?
Email mo nalang ang 711 for your concern, but I think kaya mo ang competitive, mas maganda nga yon kasi magiging challenge sayo na makipagsabayan sa mabibilis na runners. If your pacing is 5-6min/km you would be able to finish the race in 50-60 minutes.

Im running for 3k to start my marathon hobby and am planning to have it twice a month.. Anyone whos running for 3k this 26th? 🙂
registered na rin ako sa wakas. kaso nagloko lang yung cash register machine ng 7-11 kaya binigyan na lang ako ng O.R. pero walang nakasulat kung kelan ko i-claim. usually ba 1 week ba ma-claim yung racing kit? anyway, andun lang naman yun. malayo pa naman ang august 26. baguhan lang din pala ako sa mga ganito pero ang kinuha ko ay 10k (advanced wave). pero nagja jogging ako paminsan minsan sa moa. may naka install na “runkeeper” na application sa android phone ko kaya nata-track ko kung ilang kilometers at oras na ang natakbo ko. sa mga may runkeeper na apps add nyo ako, street team tyo. goodluck sa lahat!!!

To the Organizers – there’s still a lot of time to make changes. As an avid supporter of races and a business minded person, I’m sure you don’t want to lose profit (even if its going to be for a good cause). If you really want this to be a successful event, both for the running community and the recipient of the event proceeds, I think I and the rest of the running community will recommend moving it to another date.

tama ka marion, nag tanong na rin ako regarding sa singlet and sabi ng cashier 2 weeks before the run raw makukuha tapos naka lagay yung distribution ganon pa rin..
for the organizer.. sana naman tumupad kayo sa nilalagay ninyong date, siguro ginawa nyo lang reason yung hindi pa tapos na daanan. kasi kung ready yung run ng august 26 dapat ready na rin yung mga singlet. ibigay nyo sana on time para hindi kayo masira sa mga runners.

I registered and paid Aug. 2, as per your e-mail and posts, dapat nakarelease na ung race kit by Aug. 20 pero hanggang ngayon wala pa kahit anino ng mentioned race kit. This is false advertisement and empty promises. Please enlighten us on this, RUN 800 organizers!!!

wow. so many negative experiences. singlet size pa lang ang hirap ng kausap. walang ni konting room for adjustment. my friends have been given the runaround regarding their refunds. bulok yung style ng organizers. note to self: do not join next time. solid hassle. =(

hindi ba pwedeng ibang venue na lang kung di pwede ang cavitex? nakaka-bad trip na.. laging postpone. we understand na safety ng runners ang iniisip ng organizers.. pero kung postpone ng postpone.. ang tagal pa makuha ng singlet.. wala pang idea yung mga taga-7-eleven! i-refund nyo na lang ang binayad namin kung saang 7-eleven kami nagbayad.. tapos.

Hindi mo alam kung anong iniisip ng organizers ng run na to. Sobrang nakakadissapoint. Mas maganda pang i cancel nalang nila yung Run. Sigurado mas marami pang matutuwa.

medyo wala nga lang idea yung mga taga-7eleven… tumawag sila sa main office ng 7eleven.. tapos ang sinabi sa kanila, sabihin daw sa amin na sa LBC magpa-refund.. sabi namin sa kanila na nasa website ng 7eleven run na punta na lang daw sa 7eleven store kung saan nagparegister, dalhin ang resibo at VIOLA! pwede na makuha ang pera mo…
they have to check their email and i saw may letter from the marketing department na nagsasabi na they just need to get back the receipt (kaso burado na yung iba, buti may copy ako.. ang pinaka-kailangan nila ay yung 1200-0000-xxxx na reference number nung nag-online registration bago pa magbayad..) and look for your name in their list. yung iba kasi nagpa-refund na sa LBC so madodoble kung nag-apply na kayo ng refund dun.
yun lang.. masaya na kami.. will use the money for another fun run na siguradong tuloy…
btw, sayang lang.. willing naman talaga kami mag-run sa 7-11 fun run kaso kainis yung re-sked ng re-sked.. nagugulo schedule ng mga lakad at leaves ng iba sa amin na may sunday work!
Worst race i will NEVER get to run. Naintindihan ko pa ung first na postponement, pero postponed ulit? Pass nalang. What’s the assurance it won’t be postponed to again. Modifying my training plan and “season” is not worth it, I have forgone a couple of races already because of this piss poor performance of the organizers. Oh, at naka-ilang racekit na ako bago ko nakuha ung akin..emailed them about it a month ago, still waiting for a reply. Apparently hindi lang pala ako ung nakaexperience ng mixup sa singlets.. and the final kicker, i went back to the store to get a refund, nobody in the store knows about it being postponed, wala pa daw silang narecieve na instructions for refund. Poor poor poor job on the organizer’s part. And it was supposed to be a big thing…psshhh. #smh
