Color Runs will Explode in the Philippines in 2013
It’s going to be a colorful 2013 for runners. There have been many successful concept races in the US and some of them have been adopted and been held in Manila. This year, we have seen races with obstacles, mud and zombies. Next year, will be full of colors – The Color Runs.
Color Runs in the US are short 5K races where runners pass through different color stations. Runners would start with a white shirt and end up with a rainbow of colors on their shirts and faces once they reach the finish line. It’s fun and its safe.
In the US, color runs are being conducted by several groups. There’s Color Run and Color Me Rad, to name a few.
In 2013, Manila will have it’s own Color Run. The first one is the Color Manila Run 2013 by KangaROOs. This will be held on January 6, 2013 at BGC. There will be more from other organizers. If my sources are correct, there will be another one in February, March and April just in Manila alone. Color Run is expected also in Batangas, Angeles, Cebu, Davao and Cagayan De Oro.
Sounds like an explosion, right?
