What’s Cooking? It’s the Takbo.ph Runfest 2013
Takbo.ph is preparing for it’s annual running event: the Takbo.ph Runfest. Catch us on July 14, 2013 at BGC. Right now, we’re working on the materials like the Takbo.ph singlet design, Finisher’s shirt and the Finisher’s medal. We will announce them as soon as we are ready with the designs.
Takbo.ph Runfest 2013
July 14, 2013 Bonifacio Global City But here’s what you can expect so far. These are not yet final but we are working on it.
- Takbo.ph Singlet. It’s been a while since we released a Takbo.ph Singlet. We had the 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 editions. If you missed these, here’s your chance to have your own Takbo.ph Singlet. It won’t be personalized though like the 2010 edition.
- Race categories will be 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K. Level up and run the half marathon with us.
- Finisher’s Shirt for the 21K Finishers.
- Finisher’s medal for all categories. That’s right! All runners in the 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K gets a medal when they cross the finish line.
- RFID Timing.
- Wacky activities. Well, aside from the epic butt spelling, we have some activities which I hope those we will approach would agree. 😀

Question lang po sa personalized singlet: complete name, first name, or code name po ba ang gagamitin? 🙂
Any name will do basta alpha-numeric lang. No special characters. We’re still discussing how many letters maximum. Probably about 12-15 chars lang.
Nice to hear that all categories will receive medal at the finish line, but suggesting that 21k medal will be different.
Hi badboy, the medal will have same design but will bear the distances. We’re making the 21K medal a bit bigger than the others too.

I hope ayusin nyo yun timIng chip kase two years ago di gumana yun RFID nyo. Pero masaya ang runfest daming pakulo. Ive travel from mindanao pah just to join this race. Im looking forward to join next year.
Hi Gerard, thank you for joining the previous editions of the Takbo.ph Runfest. The timing issues last 2011 was a painful experience to us too. We will be using a different one that has been tested and proven in the previous events that we have handled like MediRun and Regent Fun Run. Hope to see you again next year.

We’re still looking for a fabric for the singlet. We’ll give updates hopefully this month lalo na on the date and singlet/shirt design.

We had some problems before due to errors in encoding and hard to read handwriting. Online registration can help solve those issue. Nothing is final yet.

Ayos to. I’m a newbie runner and taking this seriously! Maganda rin sumali sa nga running clubs kasi through those “Experienced” runners, you can get some tips and advices. And also, meeting those people in person is a great opportunity. already subscribed.!

Hello organizers, pwede po bang malaman kung kanino at saan mapupunta ang proceeds ng majority ng kikitain sa event na to? ang sarap kasi ng feeling na habang tumatakbo ay maramdaman mong may matutulungan kang charities or non profit institutions na ang goal ay tumutulong sa pagbigay protection sa mga kabataan at kababaihan sa lipunan, nakakatulong sa mga nangangailangang kinapos sa buhay at higit sa lahat ay nagliligtas ng buhay…. I will join for this run with my wife and daughter.

Hi everyone. Here are a few updates.
1. We are still working on the designs and the suppliers. So far, the personalized singlet is difficult to achieve this year. We might opt for the names on the race bibs instead.
2. We wanted to start online registration soon but we would like to it to coincide with the in store registration as well. I hope we can give more concrete dates within the month. Be sure to register early. 😀
3. We have designs for the medals and we will be posting them soon.
4. We will be needing volunteers just like the past edition of Runfest. We’d be giving tokens again. You probably know what the token is. 😀

Dati walang race results dito, sayang yung 10k ko na pinagpaguran..hindi man lang na record yung time. sana maganda na partner nyo sa timing. mag 21K ako ngayon para may finisher shirt..sana well organized ito,at walang mga gahaman na organizers..nauuna pa sa mga freebies.

Despite the absence of personalized feature we hope that singlet quality will be comparable to the Takbo.ph singlet 2010 edition.
Hi Noel. We are sourcing out fabric that is comparable to the 2010 edition. The 2009 and the 2010 were so far my favorite singlets, as well.
