Bacolod City Marathon 2013 Coming This August
I find this news exciting when I was tagged in Facebook. Bacolod – The City of Smiles – is planning to have a marathon this coming August 2013. No details yet. There is no definite date and no definite route.
I have a home court advantage here. I have been running in Bacolod everytime I am home for the holidays or just for a quick vacation. I also ran the Milo Marathon twice in Bacolod.
While the route is still unknown, I hope it will showcase the city itself and not the back roads which are the popular race routes right now. Some suggests a route to Murcia or Mambukal. Others suggests the highways to Silay City.
The tentative date based on the FB comments is August 11. It’s two weeks before the Bohol Marathon which I am preparing as well. I can’t resist both events. I might join both. Hmmm…
I’m looking forward to the Bacolod Marathon and hope the details will be out soon.

Really enjoy going to Bacolod since the days of the MBA’s Negros Slashers. I would definitely love to be given the chance to run over there and reconnect with the Slasher fans, players and owners as well as friends in the city.
I also hope the plan goes well. 😀 Im just worried that its too close to other marathons that I intend to run.
WHAT THE?? sobrang layo naman nito bro! parang mamatay ako nyan ah, 5k nga sobrang hinihingal na ako. Grabi saludo ako sa mga taong sasali dito.
42k? gawin naman sana nila uphill para mas challenging 🙂
