Red Cross 143: Lapu-Lapu Marathon For Humanity 2013 will be held on November 10, 2013 at Hoops Dome, Lapu-Lapu City. This is in Coordination with the City Government of Lapu-Lapu and Lapu-Lapu City Tourism and also the Municipality of Cordova. The objectives for this event: 1.) To empower our Area of Responsibility against the dangers of disasters by building a Community Based Red Cross 143 Volunteers network; 2.) To heighten public awareness in promoting a healthy lifestyle by means of fund raising to reduce the isaster risks and vulnerability of the community in the interest of saving lives; 3.) To organize and recruit Volunteers who will respond to disasters, donate blood and alleviating human suffering. Proceeds for this event: 1.) Maintaining the 24/7 Chapter Ambulance Operations; 2.) Chapter Capacity Building for the Red Cross 143 Volunteers in Schools,
Chapter and Community Based Volunteers; 3.) Sustain the Chapter growing needs.
