I am not affiliated with the organizers nor the foundation, from what i know they also had this running event in 2011 and 2012. i believe they always hold the event on Saturday and at BGC. Here’s last year’s highlight: http://igivetolife.com/race/about. this has been an event of real life foundation, who help our youth for their education. they also have feeding programs. http://www.igivetolife.com is their website. Let’s support this event, yes the 10k categ is a bit pricey, but the 3k and 5k is at the same range with other run events. Bottomline, we will be able to help and that is one reason I’m supporting this race!

Teka lang po…i am looking simultaneously sa Pinoy Fitness Page at meron ding run doon na titled : TAKBONIFACIO…Same Date November 30 at BGC din nakalagay???…Malaki ang BGC pero is this sure na magkakasabay. Sabaagy hindi magkakakalituhan to dahil yong sa TAKBONIFACIO…yong outfit KATIPUNERO at mya humahabol daw na GUWARDYA SIBIL…hahaha….
@sage afternoon run ang takbonifacio…@jaja with the PDAF scandal and others, it is hard for us to trust any NGO or fund raising activities nowadays especially with not so known organizer and with expensive reg fee. I suggest the organizer should try to get support from reliable personality(ies) or company(ies), otherwise. this is a no-no.

Guys, this is a run for a cause. I ran last year not because I want to run but because I want to help. Race for Life is an event of Victory Churches and Real Life Foundation to support out of school youths. I think it is reasonable to say that the run is pricey but at the end of the day, it is not about the runners, it is about the beneficiaries. Last year was successful, thousands attended, I think this year would be more successful.

Kahit sabihin pang run for a cause yan, dapat meron excellence, paano gaganahan mga gustong tumulong or magregister kung walang excellence, kahit sa singlet lang
Tumakbo ang gustong tumakbo. Tumulong ang gustong tumulong. This is a race for a cause. You run it, you run it to help. Not for your PR, or the freebies. If you don’t trust it, don’t run it. Simple as that, folks.
I agree with you here.this has been a yearly event for the real life foundation and vcf and have not heard any negative feedback.yes it is pricey,but at least this goes a long way for a good cause.

i felt bad for people who just run on a race na di inaalam kung ano/para saan/kung sino ang beneficiaries.. lahat ng matitinong runner na kilala ko sasali dito, ewan ko lang kung mattino ba yung mga nagcomment sa taas….
alam ko naman pong for a good cause ito. pero nakaka dismaya pala yung last year, walang time chip, finisher shirt, medal and all. :/ sana makuha din ng runners yung money’s worth kahit papano.

Marami gusto tumakbo sa events nato kaya lang di talaga makatarungan ang presyo nito….
Wag po tayong mag talo ng dahil sa presyo. Wala pong sinumang namimilit na sumali dito. Kami po ay sasali dito dahil gusto naming makatulong, hindi po dahil sa singlet o anumang free. Simple lang po, kung namamahalan po kayo, wag na lng po kayong sumali. At sa nagsabing di sya magugulat kung langawin ang event na ito, bro tama ka, di ka nga magugulat, kasi hindi lalangawin ang event na ito hanggat may mga taong handang tumulong. im so excited for these run! been running in this event for the last 3 years and never pa nmn akong nanghinayang or nadisappoint. I know medyo pricey nga ang registration but yung feeling after ng run na even if you wont get a finisher shirt or medal, you know you helped a lot in changing other people’s life — that feeling is worth it! so panu kita kits nalang sa Nov.30! Run for a cause. Ibig sbihin ang malilikom na pera ay ilalaan (proceeds) pra sa simabahan. Pra sa mga misyonaryo na ipapadala sa ibang bansa. Kung gusto nyo ng magandang event na may makukuhang magandang freebies, sumali sa iba. Hindi naman kayo pinipilit na sumali dito. Doon na lang po kayo sumali srunning event na ginagawang negosyo ang takbo. (Mawalang galang po sa ibang organizer). Sila po ang may magagandang freebies na magbibigay ng pang “PORMA” nyo.. Salamat po.

10k reg fee is pricey. yes, run for a cause to kaya lang mas madami makaka afford tumuoong kung bababaan ng konti. remember, madaming runner ang hindi ganun kalaki budget.
