Skechers GoRun Ride 2 Nite Owl Review

Skechers performance division launched the Skechers Nite Owl Footwear Collection. It uses the glow in the dark, the Photoluminescent, technology that enhances select styles of the celebrated GOrun and GOwalk product lines.

The Skechers GoRun Ride 2 Nite Owl is the next generation of Skechers GoRun Ride. It is a performance neutral shoes and offers a cushioned running experience with the innovative midfoot strike technology. Plus it provides more intense glow effect as compared to regular reflector shoe designed for running in the dark or in low light conditions.

The shoes is very lightweight and flexible. I find them very comfortable to wear for a run. The lace up design and closure also provides the good fit. I also like the roomy toe box design that do not restrict the movement of my toes during the run.

There is the custom fit that you may opt to wear in the shoes additional support and cushion but I tried running without insole for a more minimal experience.

The shoe has a smooth fabric shoe lining and nearly seamless flexible upper that even without socks, the stitching details of the lining feels soft and smooth. You cannot feel any seams rubbing on the feet.

Glowing Nite Owl when charged

The Nite Owl shines the brightest for the first hour or so and the glow will slowly fade in intensity. A short hour of charging under normal fluorescent lighting in the bedroom will keep the Nite Owl glowing all night until the morning. Exposing the shoe to natural sunlight before your night run will makes it glow more brightly!
