Philippine Team Medal Tally Asia Masters Athletics Championships 2014

The Philippine Team gathered a total 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 5 Bronze medals at the recently concluded Asia Masters Athletics Championships 2014 in Kitakami, Japan.

The 19 athletes from the Philippines competed against 18 other Asian countries and face strong competition from larger contigents. Host country, Japan sent about 2,000 athletes while other countries like India, Singapore and China sending hundreds of their athletes.  This year’s edition of the AMAC, Team Philippines is supported by L Timestudio and Soma sports watch.

For the highlights, athletics legend Linda Lavandia lead the medal haul with 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze. Danilo “Danny” Fresnido, who won a GOLD in the M40 Javelin, has set a new Asia Masters record.
