Running Fast Deserves Fast Relief
The adage “No pain, No Gain” rings true among runners. Whenever, I step up my goals like increasing the target distance or increasing the speed for a faster time, pain is inevitable.
This year, I am aiming for a sub-5 hour marathon. My previous best time was 5:08 in 2012 at Borneo. Last year, I clocked 5:59 in Angkot Wat. So a 5:00 hour marathon is quite a tough goal for me.
Feeling the pain
I started training last month following a training plan that requires me to do 4 runs per week. It includes 2 speed workouts and easy run and 1 long run every week.
The speed runs would leave me breathless after 5 miles. By the time I arrive home, my body aches from the intense exercise. My shins would be the most painful after a speed run. During long runs, I have a tendency to stiffen my shoulders. After more than 2 hours on the road, my shoulders feel tired and stressed.
The pain would linger for hours or even days. But the next run would happen in 1-2 days so I need a quick relief from the pain so that I can keep up with the training.
A quick remedy
A pain relief spray or patch helps provide a quick remedy for the muscle pains after the run. BSI Medicated Spray is one product that is extremely useful for runners who are experiencing muscular pain. After my runs, I would use BSI Medicated Spray on the shins and my shoulder. It helps me ease the pain and allows me to do other activities again.
BSI Medicated Spray comes in a 64mL plastic bottle. It is small enough to bring along wherever I run. Since it is in spray form, it is easy to apply. No need to place it on the hand and massage which is quite messy. It dries quickly and doesn’t feel oily on the skin. It also leaves a mild menthol scent that is just as soothing.
BSI Medicated Spray can also be applied before the run or any other sports activity. It will help relax the muscles, hence, helps in the warm up.
If you often feel pain during the run, there’s a BSI Medicated Spray which is easy to carry along while running. This will come handy if you get cramps or muscle pain in the middle of the race.
BSI Medicated Spray is approved by Philippine FDA as a home remedy drug. It is the only non-aerosol topical pain reliever in the Philippines. The product has been in the market over 5 years in the Philippines. BSI Medicated Spray is suitable to be used by athletes, senior citizens, office workers, housewives, OFWs and all those who suffer muscular pain.
