Get to Know Vanj Endaya and her Work Out Videos
Vanj Endaya is one of the familiar faces in the running and in the triathlon community. You can see her racing and making her way to the podiums! She is a mom, a marathoner, a duathlete, and a triathlete and keeps a full time day job as a Controller of a Real Estate Property.
So how does she do it? Here’s something from Vanj Endaya to keep us all inspired to stay fit to matter how crazy our schedule may be.
What is your typical day like?
A typical day for me includes a workout – a swim, bike or run – early in the morning and before preparing for office. Then I proceed to my 9-6 job as a Finance Head of one of the top property developers in the country. After work, I do yoga or home exercises, and spend time with my daughter by having dinner or watching TV together.
With your busy schedule, how do you keep yourself motivated to exercise or train?
As a triathlete, doing well in triathlon, and even in running events, keeps me motivated to train and exercise. Also, having a trim physique and a healthy body makes me feel good.
What keeps you busy during weekends?
Weekends for me involve doing long bike rides with my team (Century Tri-Hard) or other fellow triathletes. On days when I don’t bike, I either swim or do a long run.Weekends also mean participating in triathlon races as these events are always held on Sundays. Hence, it entails travelling out of town on a Saturday then race on a Sunday.
Weekends are for my daughter, Cai also. After training or racing, I make sure that Cai and I enjoy spending time together.
But how about social life, how do you spend time with family and friends?
Most of the time, it’s just me and my 19-year old daughter, Cai. We usually eat out, watch a movie or spend time in the malls. Occasionally, I go out to have lunch or dinner with non-triathlete friends.
What do you do or where can we see you when you’re not doing a workout or training?
I have a day job, so you can find me in my office for the most part of the day. Otherwise, I am just at home watching TV or touching base with my friends through social media, hehehe.
Can you share some tips on how to take care of yourself to feel strong and stay young and beautiful?
It’s no secret that training, doing exercises and eating the right food are key to feeling strong and staying young. Getting adequate rest and sleep are equally important. Of course, a healthy outlook in life and avoiding negative vibes help a lot in staying young and beautiful.
Is there something you want to share that not many know about you?
Some of my close friends say that I have a contagious laughter. I tend to agree with them but what I can say is that I can really be serious and intense when it comes to my workouts and exercises, and I don’t like it when people trivialize these things.
