Cordillera Mountain Marathon 2016 18/42K (Benguet)
Cordillera Mountain Marathon 2016 will be on March 19-20, 2016 at Mt. Pulag, Kabayan, Benguet.
The highest trail marathon in the Philippines. The 42k Sky Marathon and the 18k trail run will be the highest running event in the country, with over 60% of the marathon course 2000m above sea level and 100% of the 18km trail run course above 2000m. The course will take you through some of the most pristine areas in the world, in a region known as one of the most biodiverse and culturally unique on earth.

Assembly Time: 3:00 AM. March 19, 2016
Race Start:
- 42K Sky Marathon: 4:30 AM sharp
- 18K Trail Run: 5:00 AM sharp
Cutoff Time:
- 42K Cutoff time is 12 hours or 4:30PM -Marshals will start sweeping runners from the trail at exactly 4:00pm any runners caught on the trail at this time will no longer be allowed to continue and will be directed to the finish line.
- 18K Cutoff time 6 hours or 12:00PM – Marshals will start sweeping runners from the summit area at exactly 12:00pm any runners caught on the trail at this time will no longer be allowed to continue and will be directed down to the finish line.

How do you qualify for the 42K Cordillera Mountain Marathon?
- You have run and finished any 21km trail run or a longer distance.
- You have finished a full road marathon 42kms
- You have run any Ultra marathon
- You can show us STRAVA data that you have run either a 21-30km trail run, a 42K and up road run, or climbed 2000m in one run.
Mandatory Equipment:
- Fully-charged working mobile phone containing the number of the RD +639997278217. It is required that the mobile phone is on at all times during the duration of the race. (We will also post signs where there is an available signal in the more remote sections of the course)
- Headlamp and/or flashlight with battery power to last for at least 8 hours. Runners will not be allowed to continue unless this piece of gear is produced for their own safety.
- Water carrier (bladder, hand-held bottles, etc.) with volume of at least 500ml for 15kms and 1,000ml for 42kms.
- Water cup – Please be reminded that the aid stations will not provide water cups to protect the trail and you should not drink from the bottles! Crew will be advised not to serve any drinks unless water cups are presented by runners.
- Whistle
- Thermal Blanket
- Rain Jacket
- Extra base layer long sleeve
- Bonnet
- 1500-2000 calories of food for those running the 42k and 500 calories for 15k.
- At least Php 1,000 pesos for emergency transport from Balete OR Dango via motorbike
***Failure to provide any of the above equipment will be grounds for discontinuing racing/starting.
