Largest running event for 2016
The 7-Eleven Run 2016 is geared to be one of the largest racing event for next year and is expected to draw anywhere between 20,000 to 25,000 runners of all skill levels. The race is scheduled on January 17 at the Filinvest grounds in Alabang, Muntinlupa. The race covers all of the popular running distances from the beginner levels 3K, 5K, 10K to the adept levels 16K and 21K down to a full marathon or 42K.
A 10K buddy run and 500-meter run for kids are also available, making this an event where all members of the family can join and experience the joys and benefits of running. 3K, 5K and 500-meter runs will be held in the vicinity of Filinvest, while 10K and longer distances are slated to cover Skyway.
Frequent 7-Eleven shoppers can get free race kit
If you are a “suki” or a frequent shopper in 7-Eleven convenient stores you may actually have the chance to get a free race kit if you have acquired enough points for your reward card. Shoppers can trade 400 reward points to get a race kit from any of the racing event including the full marathon. You can also exchange 100 Run E-Stamps which can be obtained from buying most products from the race sponsors to get the freebie kit. Those who want to join the 10K buddy run, however, are required 800 reward points or 200 E-stamps for the pair.
For more details about the reward system you can check it at 7-Eleven’s Facebook page.
Very convenient registration
One of the very unique things about the 7-Eleven runs (much like their previous races) is the ease of registering in the event and getting your kits. There is virtually almost everywhere- and almost every corner of Metro Manila has one. Currently, there are more than 1,500 7-Eleven stores in the country. They did break their 1,500th store this year (as they have set in the 7-Eleven 1500 run last March 15).
You can provide your info online, get a code, present it to the counter of your nearest 7-Eleven store and pay it. Afterwards you will get a receipt and be provided with the schedule of the release of the kit which you can get on the same store.
Below is the schedule of the release of each wave:

Goodie bags and hydration
Runners on the upcoming race may be getting more than what they paid for. The 7-Eleven run has gathered the top sporting brands, particularly in the hydration business. If you are a runner who prefers a particular brand, worry not. Some of the major sponsors include Gatorade, Pocari Sweat and Powerade. And in case you just want cold water- there is also Summit and Nature’s Spring.
Your loot or goodie bags will also be full as some of the household name brands are going to give away some of their products.
Discounted hotel accommodations
If you are not from Metro Manila and would like to stay in a nice place before the race, worry not. Race organizers have partnered with Crimson Hotel and will be bringing a discounted accommodation to 7-Eleven 2016 run participants. Last time they did this, a 70-percent discount on room rates and a P500 off on Sunday brunch was up for grabs. 7-Eleven is also looking to increase the discount for the convenience of the participants. Stay tuned for updates of the run and some of the promos you can avail along with it.
anyone can confirm about the crimson hotel discount?
I hope they have a better Finisher Shirt this year!
