Run Fur Life 2016 1/3K (QC)
Run Fur Life 2016 will be on July 31, 2016 in Quezon City Memorial Circle.
This is a fundraising bubble fun run for the rescued dogs. This is the first fun run concept in the Philippines featuring spontaneous bursts of millions of soap bubbles at select track distance markers, whilst human and dog runners fulfill a 1K or 3K distance run for a great cause.
This is organized by Animal Kingdom Foundation or more commonly known as (AKF). It is an animal welfare group that promotes care and compassion to animals. Their core program is the elimination of the dog meat trade in the Philippines. Over the years, AKF had rescued hundreds of dogs bound for slaughter. While some have been happily rehomed, others remain at the rescue center and most are still undergoing rehabilitation for possible adoption. However, to rehabilitate and care for these dogs require serious amount of time, and stable resources not to mention the outstanding dedication of the people behind AKF.
