I had worn the Plantronics Backbeat Fit 305 for more than two weeks now and here’s my Plantronics Backbeat Fit 305 review

PROs

Lightweight and Fits Perfectly on the Ear. When running, I want my earbuds always be attached to my ears. No falling off and no adjusting needed. The Backbeat Fit 305 has so far been excellent in this aspect. It comes with a set of earbud sizes that help achieve the perfect fit.

Audio Quality is Fine. Mid-ranges are OK. It may lack the deep bass and the high notes, but it is just right for your daily runs if you are not very particular with the sound range and fidelity.

Bluetooth Connection and Range. I love how fast the Backbeat Fit 305 connects with my phone. Once it is scanned it almost gets connected automatically. No wait times to delay you from starting your workouts.

Battery Life is excellent. The specifications says 6 hours of play time and you can count on it. So one full charge can last the whole long run for the weekend.

Collar Clip is very useful. I like the Backbeat Fit 305 comes with a collar clip. It’s a small thing that can be easily neglected but it has been very useful for me. I can let the earbuds hang around my neck if I am not using it without worrying that it will fall off.

Reflective Cord. This is a new feature for me. I haven’t worn an earbud with a reflective material until this one. That’s a useful feature when running at night.

CONs

Bulky Control Button Housing. I find the control buttons a bit bulky. It’s just a rectangular block and looks boring. But still it maintains its lightweight profile.

Whoosing Sound. When staying outdoors, a strong wind blowing on your ear creates an annoying whoosing sound. It sounds like you placed a seashell on your ear. But as long as the wind is soft or you are indoors, the whoosing sound doesn’t exist.

Overall, the Plantronics Backbeat Fit 305 is a good choice for sports earbuds. It may not attract the audiophiles with its average sound quality but it has the right features needed for the fitness aficionados. It is lightweight, sweatproof, and has a secure fit that wont let if off your ears. What impresses me most is its 6 hours battery life. It the perfect companion for a marathon and ultramarathons.
