The annual Rizal Mountain Run (RMR) is set to blaze the trails on January 27, 2019 at Basekamp, Pintong Bukawe in San Mateo, Rizal. Now on its 4th edition, the annual trail running event is once again showcasing the beauty of the Sierra Madre trails which is also the training ground of some of the country’s elite trail runners. 

RMR 2019’s race course will take you to some of the most scenic hiking and trekking spots in the mountains of Rizal. Expect a variety of terrains from rugged single tracks, thickly vegetated forests, fiery fire trails, challenging river crossings and breathtaking summits.

Rizal Mountain Run Distances and Registration Fees

50K- PHP 3,200

30K- PHP 2,200

15K- PHP 1,200

4K Kiddie Trail Run- PHP 700

** Participants who opt not to receive the event shirt will have PHP 200 removed from their registration fees. Simply type in the keyword “noshirt” when registering online at Raceyaya.

Mandatory Gears

Trail runners are required to have the following mandatory gears and equipment:

50K Mountain Race Runners

1. Fully-charged and operational mobile phone
2. Headlamp or flashlights (torches) with at least 8 hours charge
3. Water carrier (bladder, hand-held bottles, etc.) with a volume of at least 1,000mL
4. Reusable water cups
5. Whistle
6. Poncho or Rain Jacket

15K and 30K Trail Race Runners

1. Fully-charged and operational mobile phone
2. Water carrier (bladder, hand-held bottles, etc.) with volume of at least 1,000mL
3. Reusable water cups
4. Whistle

Gun Start and Cut-off Time

50K- Starts at 3:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM (14 hours); Intermediate cut-off at KM 35 on 12 PM (9 hours)

30K-Starts at 5:30 AM and ends at 1:30 PM (8 hours)

15K- Starts at 6:00 AM and ends at 11:00 AM (4 hours)

4K- Starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 11:00 AM (2 hours)
