Philippine Milo Marathon King Rafael Poliquit Jr Dies

National marathon champion Rafael Poliquit Jr passed away on April 11 at 2:21 pm at V. Luna Medical Center due to complications from subdural empyema, according to the Philippine Sports Commission.
He’s supposed to represent the country in the long-distance running event of the 2019 SEA Games on November in Subic.
Poliquit clocked 2 hours, 28 minutes and 47 seconds (his personal best) to bag his 3rd Milo Marathon trophy in the 2018 National Finals happened last December in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Poliquit also represented the country with Tabal in the 2016 Boston Marathon.
