Go Fund Cancer Run to Save Lives
In partnership with Takbo.ph, “Go Fund Cancer” Virtual Run is an opportunity for people to help some of the most vulnerable members of the population during this pandemic, while still reaching their fitness goals. Now, more than ever, cancer patients need your help in their battle against this debilitating disease that exerts significant physical, emotional, mental and financial burdens.
Take Emily, a 45-year-old housewife and mother of three – who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. After overcoming her depression in the weeks following her diagnosis, she and her husband had to scramble for funds to finance her treatment, which required numerous cycles of chemotherapy and biological therapy extending to over a year. Emily wants to live for her family, but she faces the heartbreaking dilemma of completing the course of her treatment or reducing the number of cycles to be able to send her children to school.
There are so many patients like Emily with the same struggles. With your help through this fundraising activity, we hope to provide them a fighting chance to survive cancer and make more memories with their loved ones. At the same time, supporting this worthy cause keeps you active during these challenging times, which can actually help lower your risk of diseases like cancer and hypertension. Sign up to complete a total mileage of either 10KM, 21KM, 50KM, 100KM or 200KM. Then, run anytime and anywhere between September 1 to October 15. Once you reach your running goal, you get the Go Fund Cancer Finisher Shirt and a Finisher Medal.
