Coros Pace 2 Review
Coros Pace 2 is the lightest GPS Watch with a powerful processor and large memory storage. The Coros Pace 2 has the familiar round design. The digital dial and side button lets you access data and menus quickly. Accuracy is great and comparable with other well-known GPS watch. Coros Pace 2 is available for 10,950 PHP at the Activ Gears online store in Lazada.
Here’s a review by Sheli who has been using the Coros Pace 2 for almost a month already.
After days of contemplating which watch to buy, I finally settled in getting the Coros Pace 2. For a newbie runner like me, this watch has all that I need and more. As a mom, this is definitely a yes as it is not really as expensive as the other sports watches I have been eyeing (Garmin Forerunner 55). After 3 weeks of having it, I can pretty much give a decent review of how it performed based on my usage, and give recommendations for those who are thinking of buying it.
The Coros Pace 2 is a GPS running watch that can pretty much track most of the common workouts that we do. I would like to say it’s more catered to running but for others who would like to cross train, this has got you covered. The watch retails for PHP 10 950 locally and is a great buy for the features it could offer.

Design and Features
The Coros Pace 2 has a circular watch face and has very much like the feels of the Garmin Forerunner watches. It is made of plastic and the band can be bought with the nylon or silicone variant. I got the silicone one which is very comfortable and very, very light, you won’t even feel like you’re wearing it. It includes a quick release strap that allows you to switch watchbands in seconds with one easy step using only your finger. Simply slide the spring bar into place – no need for additional hardware.
The watch has two controls, one on top is a rotating crown to let you browse and go through menu, as well as make a selection when you push it. The bottom serves as the back button and as a quick access button to some other features.
GPS Features and Other Sensors
As mentioned above, this watch is jampacked with sensors and features. For its GPS, I appreciate how it locks and fixes in just about 3-5 seconds. Note that it also needs to have a reading of your heart rate before you can start any activity.
Along with the GPS, the barometric altimeter, accelerometer are actually used by the watch to calculate other statistics such as elevation, training loads, among others. I am very impressed that I can access such data in this watch at this price point. Coming from a fitness band, these are very much appreciated especially as I am turning into a more serious runner these days. These, by the way, are also available as you scroll down the main watch face. More statistics are available in the Coros app that you can download for both Android and iOS devices.
Coros App
The Coros app is one of the most comprehensive fitness apps that I have used. It still takes some getting used to as a first-time user especially with the layout and all but it pretty much sticks with the most important data. What stood out for me was the Training Load metrics, the Fitness Index and the Fitness Level. It shows in the watch the VO2max, heart rate threshold, among others. These are all neatly presented in a very robust training load metrics called EvoLab that is also available in the Coros App. This is definitely a plus for athletes who are very keen on tracking their stats for progress.
The app also gives you some customization options such as the unit of measurement choice, the watch faces that you can use, and most importantly the data that is shown on the watch during activity. This means you can choose weather you can see the pace and distance together with the moving time and the time of day in one view, or not.
In addition to that, you can create your own workout programs and training plans in the app and sync it in the watch.
You may also download premade workout programs and plans that are available in Coros and Stryd websites. These are really handy for those who want to achieve a specific goal such as running marathons at target times, or those who just want to improve on their overall fitness. It’s like having your own fitness coach in your wrist.
Conclusion
Coros Pace 2 is a very capable GPS watch and at this price point, you can never really go wrong with it. For me, it is a very worthy buy. Coming from a fitness band, you may notice some fitness tracking that are not available yet. These are all easy fixes as these are all firmware updates if Coros finally decides to add on them.
