MNL City Run: Freedom Run 2023
Calling all MNL City Runners in the metro and beyond! 🏃♂️🏃♀️
After the highly successful Heartbeat Run, a charitable run for children with Down Syndrome, MNL City Run now brings you Freedom Run 2023: An Independence Day race for the benefit of Cerebral Palsy Super Warriors Philippines.
Knowing that every stride counts, we ensure that every event we hold doesn’t only promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle. More importantly, it implores runners to act for charity, support various causes, and make a lasting impact on the community.
According to CerebralPalsy.org, about two to three in 1,000 children have cerebral palsy (CP). CP is a lifelong condition that could limit movements and affect one’s body coordination skills — and is considered the most common motor disability among children.
The Cerebral Palsy Super Warriors Philippines (CPSWP) is one of the duly-registered non-government organizations supporting people with CP and their families. Since 2017, they’ve been holding meaningful activities for CP-affected individuals, organizing fund-raising events, and bridging donors to those in dire need of help — whether it’s financial support or otherwise.
For our newest running event, we’re choosing the CPSWP as our beneficiary. Freedom Run 2023, which comes ahead of Philippine Independence Day, is a call for runners to help children with cerebral palsy lead more fulfilling and independent lives.
