The Subic International Marathon (SIM) is celebrating its 20th anniversary on February 1 & 2, 2025 at the iconic Subic Bay Metropolitan Area (SBMA) in Subic, Zambales. This milestone marks two decades of fostering a culture of fitness and camaraderie, and this year’s theme, “I Run for my Heroes,” encourages runners to dedicate their journey to the personal heroes in their lives.

Whether you are an elite marathoner or a beginner, SIM offers an inclusive environment where everyone can honor their heroes while pushing their physical limits. What started as an initiative by the Philippine National Police in 2005 as part of their Transformation Program has now evolved into a major annual event that draws athletes and fitness enthusiasts from across the globe.

Event Distances

This year’s Subic International Marathon offers four distances, catering to various levels of runners:

• 42K: For seasoned marathoners looking to test their endurance.
• 21K: The half-marathon distance offers a challenge to both intermediate and experienced runners.
• 10K: Perfect for those who want to enjoy a shorter, but still challenging, race.
• 5K: Ideal for beginners or participants who want to take part in the event for fun or fitness without the pressure of a longer distance.
