7-Eleven Run 2025 Sees Largest Registration, Adds New Categories
7-Eleven Philippines announced on Friday that this year’s 7-Eleven Run will attract over 50,000 runners nationwide, surpassing the 40,000 participants of the 2024 edition.
Simultaneous Runs in Three Major Cities
The 7-Eleven Run 2025 will take place across three major cities on February 1 and 2, with participant numbers distributed as follows:
- Filinvest-Alabang in Muntinlupa City: 30,000 runners
- City di Madre in Cebu City: 13,000 runners
- SM City Davao in Davao City: 7,000 runners
For the first time, 7-Eleven introduced the following new categories to encourage family participation: 3K buddy run, 5K buddy run, and 711 meters for kids.
Jun Ang, General Merchandise Division Head and Managing Director for eWallet and eCommerce, explained during the media briefing that these additions aim to make the run more inclusive
The 2025 event also features its traditional categories: 3K, 5K, 7K, 10K, 16K, 21K, 32K, and 42K. All categories offer cash prizes for both male and female winners, with the Marathon event awarding the highest sums: P25,000 for 1st place, 20,000 for 2nd place, and P15,000 for the 3rd place.
Podium Finishers to to Compete Abroad
Top 3 Filipino male and female winners in the 21K, 32K, and 42K categories will qualify for an international running event in Asia. As in previous years, 7-Eleven will fully sponsor their travel and participation.
Some of the names to watch out for in the race include siblings Ric Organisa and Christine Hallasgo who won the 21K Male & Female category, respectively, in the Cagayan de Oro leg.
Florendo Lapiz and Maricar Camacho who dominated the 42K Male & Female category, respectively, in the Manila leg are also expected to make an impressive showing this year.
The Filipino contingent who 7-Eleven sent to the Laguna Phuket Marathon in Thailand last June 2024 clinched many of the podium spots of the said event.
