Nike Human Race at Subic International Marathon

There will be a Nike Human Race in the Philippines after all. And it will be held as a side event in the Subic International Marathon (SIM) on October 24, 2009.

There will be a separate registration for the Nike Human Race. To join, you will register using the Subic International Marathon Entry Form but will have to indicate that they will be joining the Nike Human Race. Remember that this is only a 10K event.

Below are the details of the race.

The Nike Human Race will be integrated in the 2nd Subic International Marathon event, a first in the Running Environment. Here are the details:

a. The Nike Human Race will be held on October 24 as one of the side events of the Subic International Marathon.

b. Starting and finish point will be at Remy Field in SBMA.

c. Assembly time is 3:00 PM and fire-off is at 4:30 PM.

d. For those who want to sign up for this event, they may use the existing Subic International Marathon entry form and indicate if they want to join the Nike Human Race. If you have signed up for the 10K SIM event, read how to change them as provide below.

e. Prizes from Nike will be given away.

f. Computers will be set up at Remy Field and will be Wifi equipped (courtesy of Smart) to allow the participants access to the internet and enable them to log in their performances at Nike's Human Race website.

g. Entry Fees of Subic International Marathon shall apply.

Those who have signed up for the 10K side event of the Subic International Marathon to be staged on October 25 but has decided to run the Nike Human Race instead need do the following:

a) Inform the SMART SIM Secretariat at 583-9893 or (0928) 600-9930 so we can make the necessary adjustments on our masterlist of runners.

b) They have to return the SMART SIM Singlet to the Secretariat in exchange for the Nike Human Race Singlet. (Nike Human Race Singlets will be available for distribution on the 20th as per Nike office).

Prizes to be given away for the Nike Human Race (10K Run):

Men's Division Women's Division

Ist Place 10,000 worth of Nike Gift Certificates 10,000 worth of Nike Gift Certificates

2nd Place 8,000 worth of Nike Gift Certificates 8,000 worth of Nike Gift Certificates

3rd Place 6,000 worth of Nike Gift Certificates 6,000 worth of Nike Gift Certificates

I've an interesting story: I had problems with my Nike+Ipod (some runs were not showing up in "my runs") so I asked Nike for help. They e-mailed a solution which solved my problem. After which they sent a feedback mail. I dutifully complied but when I reached the question "would you recommend Nike to your friends/family?" I answered a firm no. And to the follow question "what would it take to change your mind?" I stated my disappointment in how Manila was snubbed for the Human Race. I said Mizuno, NB & Adidas have annual races here. That if that wasn't enough proof of a big & still growing

@ryanfranciscayubit. During my conversation with the organizer of SIM, you can just indicate is somewhere on top where it is visible. Maybe na note near the 10K checkbox too. She gave no specific location.

Ayos, its not finally confirmed! I just registered last week sa SIM, pero 10k lang din. I'll have to indicate my intention to run the Human Race. Going to Subic on the 24th is another thing. Will I survive the afternoon race enough to drive back and then race in KOTR the next day? Abangan....

Nice to know that the Human Race will be held here in the Philippines.However, it would be much better sana if the event will be held in manila considering mas madami runner who might participate here aside from the fact that it would entail lots of logistics to prepare by a runner just to participate in that..pde nman i back to back yan or integrated with Pasig International Marathon or QC Int'l Marathon if the intention of the organizers of the Human Race wants to have that 1st of a kind...

It's too last minute and too far! Runs such as this should be planned way ahead. As an example, KOTR and the New Balance Power Run.

I'll just get the Nike singlet siguro, pero will run on my own on the same day! Too toxic to drive to Subic in the morning, tapos drive back in the evening, then run KOTR on Sunday morning. Abangan pa rin!

yahoo i'll be running this one! pilit nga talaga but remember guys, nike had no intention of holding the race in the phils, but because of YOUR clamor, ginawan ng paraan ng nike phils by partnering with SIM. and knowing nike - the shirt, loot bag, etc will be top notch. what an exciting weekend for all runners!

HELP! san pp ba yung registration na NIKE human race? nag punta ako ng nike rob manila wala da sila registation dun, sabi nila MOA branch daw, punta ako MOA ang binibigay nila sa akin ay yung sa QCIM. wala daw silang IDEA tunglol sa nike human race kasi virtual daw yun. KAKALOKAH!!!!

My friends and I were able to register today at the Smart business ofc, G/F Smart Tower, Ayala Ave., Makati City (beside LKG Tower). SIM have registration booth there. Look for Ms. Elvie Balon. If you register today up to Oct.11 regfee is P250 for Smart subscribers & P350 for non-smart. FYI, singlets will be released on the 20th. Galing pa daw singapore.

I'm registered for the 21k, but after running QCIM I don't want to push it. I'd rather run the 10k Nike Human. How to go about with it? Hmm.
