A Half, A 3-Quarter and A Full Marathon

This is an insane race schedule that I am preparing for starting the end of November.  I’ll be running a half marathon, a three-quarter marathon and a full marathon.  Three distances in three different events.  I think I am ready for all three of them.  I put in the mileage required during the training.  I should be doing a taper now after running a 32K last week.  But I would try a 34K or 36K maybe or just stick to another 32K before the end of the month.

Here are the races I am lined up for.

The 3/4 Marathon

November 21 is the Dumaguete Adventure Run in Dumaguete.  It’s an event I have been looking forward to join since I started running.  Finally, I got a plane ticket to go to Dumaguete for the event.  I just need a hotel reservation and all is set.   I’ll be running a ~32K here in a mix of concrete and off-road course.  I don’t know what to expect but I’d be ready with some hydration bags for this event.

The Full Marathon

Up next is the full marathon during the Quezon City Internation Marathon 2010 on December 5, 2010.  I have signed up already and I am looking forward to finish the third marathon.  Of course, I want to improve my time of 5:29:48 from the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon.  I completed the QCIM Half Marathon last year also.  Another medal to go.

The Half Marathon

To end the year, I’m joining The Corregidor International Half Marathon on December 19, 2010.  Sounds like a recovery run but it’s not.  I’m sure he hills will give me a hard time.  I know since I was able to run a 13K the during our company team building last September.  It was tough.  I guess I just have to take it easy and make sure I meet the 10K checkpoint to earn another medal.

Are you joining any of the races listed here also?
